Welcome to the Draxmere Academy of Conjuring
Azalea Jinx, a twenty-two year old widow, will do anything just to feel something. The problem isn’t that she can’t feel anything at all, but, rather, the only emotions left are ones that she doesn’t want controlling her; emotions like anger, jealousy, and boredom.
After an abrupt move to Orlando, Florida in the search of a fresh start, Azalea is given one in the form of an abduction conducted by the handsome man in her mirror. This man offers Azalea the chance of a lifetime: the chance to regain her emotions.
Once she accepts her place at the Draxmere Academy of Conjuring, Azalea quickly discovers the inherent dangers of a school who’s one goal is to train their students to battle against Reapers: evil creatures created by the centuries-old Grim who plagues both the Conjuring and human worlds. All too quickly she decides it’s a risk she is willing to take in order to stabilize her emotions and be normal again. In this new world she discovers new powers, new friends, and new relationships that just might destroy her.
Death, secrets, and betrayal: all await her at Draxmere.
Conjuring A Grim is a dark academia romance that will leave you breathless and begging for more up until its very last page.
Azalea Jinx is supposed to be a savior, but she’s never felt like she quite lived up to the title. Mostly because she watched her best friend be turned into a hideous, deformed beast–a phenomenon that was entirely her fault.
The Conjurers brought her to Draxmere because they needed her to be the savior, and after Shayde’s betrayal, after Demi was ripped away from her forever, she would do anything to stop feeling so miserable. Including turning herself into the hero she knows she can never be. Even if it means killing the man she is still hopelessly in love with, a man who had revealed himself to be the very villain she was brought to the Charmed world to kill.
Draxmere isn’t the same this year, and it never will be again. A new dean has arrived on campus, one Grim-bound on ruining Azalea’s life and forcing her out of the school. One willing to do everything she is and more to prove the savior is working with the Grim. And the dean pushes her so far that she considers it, if only to escape the torture that being at Draxmere has become. Azalea Jinx knows she can’t forgive Shayde, that she can’t allow herself to be in love with the Grim, despite all the paths leading back to him.
And if she cannot love him, then she will hate him instead.

—Lack of emotions/feeling (The character believes herself to be monstrous/bad because of these issues but I am NOT trying to portray people with these issues as such)
—Graphic death (murder, accidental, in the process of dying)
—Graphic violence/gore
—Dead parents/family
—Divorce
—Self-harm/suicidal thoughts
—Infertility issues (including miscarriages/ectopic pregnancy)
—Sexual activities
—I insult Florida quite often in the first few chapters…
